Steranko Joins CGC Cards for an In-House Private Signing

CGC Cards™ is thrilled to announce that influential comic book writer and artist Steranko will be joining us for an exclusive In-House Private Signing! Steranko is best known for his work at Marvel Comics during the Silver Age. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has been the recipient of many of the industry's biggest awards including the Inkpot Award, Harvey Award and Shazam Award. In 2006, Steranko was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame.

For this signing, submitters can also send in comics and magazines, which CGC will encapsulate with our distinctive yellow CGC Signature Series Label. (For instructions on how to submit trading cards for this signing, click here.)

Steranko is one of the most controversial figures in contemporary culture, with multiple careers as a musician, author, historian, carnival fire-eater, publisher, male model, art director, magician, and designer. As an escape artist, his death-defying performances inspired the character Mister Miracle. According to Stan Lee, he is one of the prime Architects of the Marvel Age of Comics. As writer-illustrator of Marvel’s X-Men (for which he designed the classic logo), Captain America, and Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., he rocked the comic world with a revolutionary narrative approach that changed the direction of the medium. Popular polls cite Steranko as the fifth Most Influential Comics Artist in the history of the form.

CGC Cards must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, March 21, 2025.

If the In-House Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC Cards will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be rescheduled.

After Steranko signs the submitted cards, CGC Cards will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

The CGC Cards In-House Private Signing fee for Steranko is $105 per item and includes:

• Steranko’s signature
• Estimated turnaround time of six weeks for CGC Cards grading
• Encapsulation with the CGC Signature Series label

To submit cards for the signing:

• Log onto your account or sign up for an account HERE.
• Click Submit in the CGC Cards website navigation and select the Submission Form.
• Click on the link to the CGC Cards Online Form.
• Select Card or Jumbo Card from the menu, then select CGC SIgnature Series and one of the following from the dropdown menu section:
  JIM STERANKO, SIGNATURE.
• Select "Authentication and Grading" under Select Primary Service.
  
• Select "Mail-In or Show Drop-Off" under Select Submission Method.
• Enter the information requested for your card.
• Select Add to Cart, and then repeat if there are additional cards in your submission. If there are no additional cards in your submission, click on the cart icon and proceed to checkout.
• Carefully package cards in a box for shipment. 
• IMPORTANT: Please write JS on all sides of the outside of the box. You must initial outside of the box or we will not be able to honor the submission for this signing.
• Cards will be received into the CGC Cards system when they arrive and will be safely stored by CGC Cards until the event. (Please note: Payments are processed as they normally are at the time of the collectibles' arrival at CGC.)
• Once cards are signed they will start an expedited CGC Cards grading process.

PLEASE NOTE:

All submissions must be received by CGC Cards no later than Friday, March 21, 2025, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Friday, March 21, 2025.

**If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade.
