He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year that season. In 2022, he won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the 2022 playoffs, which ended with the Colorado Avalanche winning their third Stanley Cup.
Did you know? O-Pee-Chee, the company name for this set, began as a Canadian candy company in 1911. Later, O-Pee-Chee got involved in trading cards, including the 1979 set whose Wayne Gretzky card is seen as the gold standard among all hockey cards. The company was acquired by Nestle in 1996, and Topps licensed the O-Pee-Chee name from 1997 to 2004. Currently, Upper Deck has the right to use the O-Pee-Chee name.
