CGC Trading Cards Grading One Piece and Nostalgix

CGC Trading Cards® has continued to grow and add new games to its grading roster throughout 2022. Now, the company is thrilled to announce another expansion of its expert authentication, grading and encapsulation services to include two upcoming trading card games: the One Piece Card Game and Nostalgix.

One Piece

The One Piece Card Game, which will launch worldwide later this year, is a new trading card game featuring characters, settings, and events from the beloved and long-running manga series One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. Players compete using Leader, Don!!, Character, Event and Stage cards with the goal of bringing their opponent to down to zero Life or zero cards. The game released in Japan in July 2022 as part of One Piece’s 25^th anniversary celebration with booster packs of the first set, Romance Dawn. Since release, popular chase cards have included Yamato (Parallel), Monkey D. Luffy (Parallel), and Nami (Parallel).

Nostalgix

Another trading card game releasing later this year, Nostalgix combines gameplay mechanics from various classic TCGs and new characters and concepts to form a new game that’s both refreshing and familiar. Nostalgix’s Kicstarter campaign attracted widespread attention, enlisting over 2,000 backers who pledged over $930,000 to the game’s launch. Kickstarter-exclusive prerelease cards are already circulating. Meanwhile, the TCG’s base set has released already in Europe, the United States, and Canada, with Oceana having an estimated release date of October 1. Lucky Frog is expected to be the chase card for the base set.
