The cards of the Bulls Hall of Famer are easily worth five figures.

Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) has certified two more high-grade examples of one of the most eagerly sought basketball cards: the 1986-87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan rookie card. Both cards are graded CSG 9 and are tied with one other card (that was graded in 2021) for the highest grade in the CSG Population Report.

The second and third CSG 9 examples were certified in May and July 2022. The front artwork displays Jordan’s well-known anti-gravity moves as he soars towards the basket, ball in hand. A simple background featuring two years of stats and player information adorns the back.

Jordan cards with this grade are easily worth five figures. As CSG’s services have been embraced by more collectors, CSG is proud to have the opportunity to grade more examples of this card. CSG subjects all incoming cards to a proven, multi-step certification process to ensure authenticity and integrity of valuable cards. You can learn more about CSG’s eight-step grading process here.
